The city of Granada is beautifully positioned at the confluence of three different rivers – Beiro, Genil and Darro, just at the foot of Sierra Nevada Mountains. The gorgeous Moorish fortresses are exceptional and worth touring. The fortresses that have Moorish architecture are considered to be a jewel and the best example of the Islamic architecture that one could see. The main attraction happens to be the red Fortress or the Alhambra fortress that was actually built for meeting the armies need but later it was made Mohammed ben Nasar’s royal residence.
